The fact that these other players are more concerned with their own hand than what everyone else has will make it easy for you to win. You are basically invisible to them. All you will have to do in order to win is to play a straightforward hand and not become over confident. You want to keep it steady and do not make big moves; this will wave a red flag, especially with beginners. It is best if you stay away from doing any fancy bluffs. When you are playing with beginners this can work against you almost every time.

One nice thing about playing other beginners is that they really want to know what cards you are holding; you can really use this to your advantage. They will sometimes pay just to be able to see what hand it is that you have been holding. In addition, if you have a very good hand and you know that you have the game, you will want to raise slow and steady, you do not want to shock them by throwing in some big money out of nowhere, they will all fold and you will have wasted a great hand. Instead, you are better off to raise a little bit at a time when you are playing the low-limit games. This way you will at least be able to build up the pot that you are about to win.

You want to remember that in a low-limit game, mental strategies are pretty much useless. These players will not be sure how to read these and may read them the way that you are not counting on. This can backfire against you. Instead, you will want to just focus on the cards and playing a good game. You should take your time when you are just learning and be patient. You do not want to rush in to the high-limit games too soon. The more prepared that you are when you begin playing the advanced games, the less of a beating you will take.

It is true that you will want to eventually try your hand at the high-limit games. However, you will want to feel comfortable with the game and have as much practice under your belt as possible. When you finally get to the high-limit table, you will want to feel confident with your game, but do not expect too much. The chances are that you will learn a lot, but not win too much for a while.
